so for my 2nd roadtrip this year (which lasted for about 3 weeks) we went to various places. anyway, we started off at 11p.m. from seattle and drove down to san francisco. i'd say kudos to don! don's really amazing, driving continuously for 16 hours. i only took over for 2 hours and he only took little breaks here and there. so yeay for driving over 3000miles ok! (=
by the time we reached san francisco it was evening and we're all so beat we jus rested. oh, house of nanking there is REALLY good! really should try. the next day we went around the town, to alcatraz prison, pier 39, some garden (i forgot the name), golden gate bridge etc. i'll post up some pics soon. and the next day we went to have lunch with my cousin albert and then take off to L.A. we took the the highway 101 and US-1 so that we can bypass all the beautiful beaches. and there's 1 along the way which is really beautiful (but you hafta pay for admission). and after that the way to L.A. was kinda boring cos it was dark by then so we dont really see anything. in LA we stayed at a hotel in the hollywood boulevard, so all the entertainment was close to us. but instead we took a drive down to the L.A. beaches and spent our day there. (did i mention about the hot lifeguards with really well-toned bodies and great swimming skills there?) we went back to the hotel in the evining and set out again to embrace the vibrant L.A. night and ended it off with supper at pink's hot dogs. this hotdog stand's so legendary and famous that it's speculated that stars are often spotted in the long lines (though i didnt see any when i got there. perhaps it's also the timing). they even have their own complimentary valet parking so that customers could get in line as soon as possible! crazy huh? their hotdog's real good i'd say, but i don't really like the chili they add onto it(chili as in the mexican-style-chili). but it's good and hearty enough to add a few more lbs to your weight though.
