last monday was memorial's day, so i had a pretty long weekend. out of pure boredom, don & i went to leavenworth (it's a european town somewhere in the heart of WA) for a night's stay, and of course we gorged ourselves with plenty of german food (as usual). i love their polish dogs. yums. the place was very fairy-tale ish (picture a bavarian village in the mountains), filled with faux german peeps who run around in traditional bavarian costumes but they speak perfect american english. oh, and don't forget the horse carriages, which are very pricey indeed. the place definitely looked very different than how it was back in winter (i went there last december).
this time, we also drove up to lake chelan. there's a picture of the lake below (:
